Life of Pie is a cute local pie shop in Abilene, Texas, serving pies, quiche, pie cupcakens, and other sweet treats.
Do you know those places that just feel friendly? Life of Pie is one of those places.
The owner was so warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. She welcomed us. She talked to my 1-year-old and told him how cute he was (earning instant bonus points with me).
I’d seen her post about their Oreo Tiramisu Pie on Instagram and knew I wanted to try a slice (because, seriously? Oreos and tiramisu together in a pie? Heavens to Betsy!).
Traditional pies don’t always grab me but this pie shop was calling my name!
I had no idea how many cute things they offer there. She had PieCupcakens (pie filling inside of a cupcake – yup, she made that a thing!), mini pies, and so much more on top of their pie menu.
We ended up getting a to-go order of a slice of the Oreo Tiramisu Pie, a mini blueberry pie, and a cherry PieCupcaken.
Oreo Tiramisu Pie
All of their packaging is so stinkin’ cute. I almost didn’t even want to unwrap it all because it was just so pretty! Look at that little wooden fork on top of the mini pie? Adorable!
These would all make really great birthday treats for kids, friends, or coworkers.
The Oreo tiramisu pie was the star of our order for me! It was everything I wanted it to be and more.
It had the chocolate cream-filled cookies, a mild espresso flavor and an incredibly smooth, creamy texture in the pie filling. 5 stars in my eyes! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cherry PieCupcaken
The PieCupcaken was a soft cupcake topped with vanilla buttercream filled with cherry pie filling. The vanilla frosting wasn’t as sweet as most frostings which made the cupcake even better because there was plenty of sweetness in the cherry filling.
Such a unique dessert! This is definitely the first time I’ve seen a place offer a pie-filled cupcake!
Mini Blueberry Pie
The mini pie was just adorable. It came in an individual little pie tin with a crumb topping and perfectly sweet blueberry filling.

This is just the beginning of the food they have to offer at Life of Pie, though!
They serve just about every kind of “pie” you can think of here – quiche, chicken pot pie, and even pizza pies.
And they have all kinds of pie flavors – traditional, seasonal, unique (like the Oreo tiramisu!), and they even have what they call “sweet heat” pies like The Baron (An award winning custard pie, The Baron is a honey pie with a hint of heat from the infamous Habanero pepper. Aka Honey Habanero Pie) and The Pirate (A key lime pie with a small amount of heat and flavor from the Jalapeno pepper.)
