You are going to love this place. It’s one of our favorite restaurants in Abilene, Greek or otherwise!

I tend to like to try new things so we don’t repeat restaurants often but we’ve already been back here multiple times. It’s one of our favorite finds in Abilene with a really generous portion of delicious food using fresh ingredients for a great price.

We ordered the $7.95 special that comes with a gyro, fries, and a drink and it’s worth every penny.

Gyro Special

Y’all, the pictures just don’t do this food justice.⁣

The pita bread was soft & warm and overflowing with fresh & flavorful gyro meat, fresh tomato and red onion, and creamy tzatziki sauce. ⁣

The portions were so generous. By that, I mean these gyros were absolutely loaded with meat (that never happens!). We both took leftovers home, even after sharing quite a bit with Noah (and they reheated wonderfully, too)!⁣

Every time we’ve been back, the gyros have been just as good. It’s hard to find that kind of consistency with restaurants!

Baklava

And the baklava for dessert? Yum!

They had a case full of amazing looking desserts from Italian cream cake to key lime pie but it just seemed right to try the baklava first and it was everything I wanted it to be – flaky pastry layers, lots of chopped nuts, and just enough honey (I’ve had some completely soaked in honey, but this one was just perfect). ⁣

Niko’s is definitely going to be our go-to gyro place. ⁣
